This book presents the findings of a detailed 1983 analysis of the social patterns of Irish-English bilingualism in the Corca Dhuibhne Gaeltacht language area (southwest Ireland), focusing on the use of Irish in the home and the community, and situates this material within the context of the position of Irish in Corca Dhuibhne and Ireland since 1926.
