Annotation

Studies of communication indicate that the traditional view of plagiarism, as used in international negotiations regarding intellectual copyright and in considerations of professional academic writing, is based in the ideology of the autonomous, rational individual established within the European Enlightenment and that as such, this view hampers the understanding of identity construction in intercultural discourse.
