This analysis of French-language minority education in a high school in the English speaking province of Ontario, demonstrates how curriculum content, program structure and the social organization of turn-taking support or oppose an ideology of institutional monolingualism and how individuals' language use and code-switching reflects collaboration with or resistance towards these settlements.
