This book examines the linguistic, social and cultural factors that have contributed to the imminent demise of Mediterranean Judeo-Spanish. Interviews with 91 Judeo-Spanish speakers, conducted in New York, Israel and Los Angeles, focused on the language's current structure, characteristics and domains of use and on the speakers' attitudes.
