Annotation

This book offers a detailed description of the sociolinguistic processes involved when rural dialect speakers -of, in casu, the Norwegian Stril- accommodate to an urban variety -in casu the Bergen dialect-. Quantitative methods are extended to the area of morpho-lexis and the notion of "nested" speech communities is examined.
