This study analyzes the interactional and rhetorical constitution of one particular narrative told by a Gypsy boy in a Spanish kindergarten classroom during 'la ronda', in order to draw general conclusions with regard to the education of Gypsy children, as social encounters like 'la ronda' determine access to broader social opportunities.
