Annotation

This paper examines the rhetorical and linguistic devices that enable third-sector unemployment policy authors to extend their legislative influence to the most intimate aspects of human association. It is argued that third-sector and skilled discourses seek to redefine the meaning of welfare, work and especially of unemployment, so that, ideally, it would no longer exist as a concept.
