Annotation

This paper re-examines the social evaluation of code choice strategies in intercultural communication, contrasting the Speech Accomodation Theory with the pragmatic approaches of Brown and Levinson and C.M. Scotton. It adheres to the pragmatic approach which predicts that code choice strategies are sociopragmatically ambiguous.
