Annotation
This study analyzes and compares native and non-native English speakers' use of intonation to signal discursive meaning, measuring pitch and phrase accents and boundary and paratones as prescribed by Pierrehumbert and Hirschberg's model (1990). The non-native English speakers belong to Spanish, Japanese and Thai language groups.
