Rather than an introductory textbook, this work constitutes a reference source for a wide range of readers familiar with the field of second language acquisition (SLA), including language teachers and (graduate) students in (applied) linguistics, psychology and psycholinguistics and foreign language education. This account of 20 years of research in SLA favors the connection of the applied and the non-applied persuasion.
