Annotation

This paper argues that Löbner's (1989) duality hypotheses are inappropriate, even for the semantic analysis of German SCHON and NOCH, and suggests some alternatives. Some comparisons are also made with reference to the analysis of the (near)-equivalents of SCHON and NOCH in other European languages.
