This study analyzes answer selection within the framework of the QUEST model that specifies the search for knowledge structures during answering. The experiment includes 'legal' and 'illegal' answers to 'why'-, 'how'- and 'consequence'-questions and answers to priming-recognition and lexical decision tasks.
