This volume deals with various aspects of second language education of immigrant children in North America from the perspective of the whole child, the whole curriculum and the whole community, which means that instruction should be child-centred and individualized, taking into account minority childrens' rich linguistic and cultural community experiences and applying the integration of language and content across the whole curriculum.
