Annotation

This study analyzes and describes the experiences of one secondary Russian/English bilingual teacher and her literate students' as they learn science and adapt to a foreign school. It is demonstrated that students' well developed reading and writing skills combined with bilingual instruction, helped them to maintain and build on their prior science learning and knowledge to eventually pass required exams in English.
