Annotation

A recent model of language processing in normal native speakers (Wray, 2002), proposes that speakers get substantial benefits from storing and retrieving prefabricated utterances from memory. This paper examines the design and efficacy of TALK, a system developed to promote conversational fluency in non-speaking individuals, as a potential working model of Wray's depiction of normal language processing.
