Annotation

This paper argues that the modern theories of language genesis by Lieberman, Wilkins and Wakefield, and Calvin and Bickerton, are not embedded in a sufficiently restrictive general theory of exaptation, so that it is unclear what sort of evidence is properly relevant to the appraisal of their exaptationist claims.
