This paper argues for an interdisciplinary approach to context when analyzing political discourses, as complex problems like populism, racism or antisemitism cannot be grasped by one traditional discipline. It also suggests an intertextual approach which takes into account historical developments and socio-political factors whilst analyzing discourses. Examples are drawn from Austrian postwar antisemitic political rhetoric.
