Annotation

This study examines whether there are differences in clausal and nonclausal choices for encoding subjective concepts in narratives among bilingual Spanish children with varied English proficiency. Differences in the use of clause type and aspects of nonclausal complexity can be attributed to the language of retelling. Patterns of performance reinforce the importance of assessing children in both Spanish and English.
