Annotation

This study explores what students need to understand and communicate in order to succesfully complete a classroom technical design and construction project. Educational implications are drawn, whilst discussing the value of communication in inquiry, the use of ideas-in-progress, the assessment of student knowledge through discourse, and the ways educational discourse processes are linked to cultural practices.
