It is argued that, in addition to notions such as time, hypotheticality degree and the speaker's epistemic stance, other dimensions are required to describe the functions of the conditional and indicative moods in Czech and Russian languages, namely the condition-consequent relationship, the concept of alternative worlds, and the speaker's perspective with respect to these alternative worlds.
