This comparative study of the discourse functions of personal pronouns and other forms of address in Dutch and Italian business discourse, focuses on the mapping of the semantic shift in the non-prototypical use of personal pronouns; the pragmatic significance of such shift; and the contextual factors underlying pronominal choices and personal address forms.
