Annotation

Drawing on data from two children, ages four and two, learning Japanese and English, this paper examines whether the phonological modules of a young bilingual child are separate, focusing on voice onset time (VOT). The t-test results for the four-year-old indicate a significantly longer duration of VOT for English than for Japanese.
