This case study proposes to examine whether the Italian second language treatment of a fluent multilingual aphasic, leads to a parallel improvement of all the mastered languages, in casu Slovenian, Italian, Friulian and English and whether the hypothesized benefits of rehabilitation last four years after the end of treatment. The results reveal a non-parallel recovery pattern, with a significant improvement of second, third an fourth language, but a decrease of Slovenian mastery. Rehabilitation effects appear to be maintained four years after the end of treatment.
