Annotation

This experimental study examines the differential impact of three conditions, that is nonnegotiated premodified input, negotiation without 'pushed output' and negotiation plus pushed output, on second language learners' vocabulary comprehension and acquisition. The findings underscore the important role of negotiation in facilitating second language vocabulary comprehension and acquisition, which suggests that output holds a key position within the negotiation process for productive lexical acquisition.
