Annotation

This article investigates the role of form-focused instruction (FFI) in implicit knowledge development by surveying 11 studies that examined the FFI-effect on learners' free production. The review indicates that FFI can affect the acquisition of implicit knowledge, with two variables influencing its success: the choice of the target structure and the extent of the instruction.
