The findings of this study which compares first (English, Chinese) and second (Japanese) language process and product data, indicate no clear relationship between process and product data, nor between written products in the two languages. But there seems to be a similarity in writing process for individual subjects across the two languages and a relationship between general second language proficiency level and second language product quality.
