This article proposes a solution to the problem of the distribution of adnominal adjectives in the study of intrasentential codeswitching, by exploiting Mahootian's (1993) formal model of intrasentential codeswitching, based on the null hypothesis that codeswitching sequences are not affected by structural constraints beyond the general phrase structure principles that govern monolingual sequences.
