Annotation

This reaction time study explores how Chinese speakers, in the absence of inflections, use other kinds of cues in real-time sentence interpretation. The results support interactive activation models of sentence processing; they are not compatible with models that propose a modular architecture in which morphological, semantic, and syntactic information sources are insulated from one another at different points in parsing and interpretation.
