This paper examines the management of discourse identities in the construction of a conversational tale of tomorrow by Greek female adolescents. It is demonstrated that in the joint story construction the enactment of a set of discourse identities, interrelated to the participants' larger social roles and identities, is intertwined with the story's components of complicating action and evaluation.
