This article discusses some counter-psychological approaches to psychological terms such as 'thinking', 'understanding', 'intending', and outlines some general convergences between pragmatics, conversation analysis and discursive psychology, drawing on the work of Coulter, Ryle, Sacks and Wittgenstein.
