This paper argues that, in the contemporary workplace, workers have to renegotiate their knowing, their doing, and their worker identity, discussing the discursive (team building) strategies of factory employees and clinicians. The paper concludes that these strategies represent what we might term the 'reflexivization' of worker identity.
