Annotation

This paper deals with the use of media texts on environmental issues, in particular with the ways the first Rainham group made sense of a television documentary on the Rainham project. This project included a proposal to build fim studios and a theme park on grazing marshes at Rainham near London, that were formerly classified as a site of specific scientific interest by the Nature Conservancy Council.
