The present study, applying sociolinguistic perspectives to the analysis of the language mixing of a two-year-old child acquiring simultaneously Norwegian and English in Norway, argues that bilingual two-year-olds can codeswitch and that one has to take into account more carefully the role played by context and dominance in their language mixing.
