This book on humor is meant to operate on different levels: it provides a review of the main theories on humor; it presents the author's theory on humor, termed the 'Syzygy theory', with polarity, power and process as the main components; it provides a collection of humorous material meant to illustrate Syzygy theory; and it tries to integrate humor within the broader contexts of history and of contemporary society.
