An analysis of the role of language in the psycho-analytical process, focusing on two aspects: a characterization of the peculiarities of the speech of neurotic patients, and a characterization of the dialogues between patient and psychoanalyst. The purpose is to develop instruments for registering detailed aspects of the communicative process in analysis and therapy.
