On the correlations between psychoanalytic and linguistic approaches to psychopathological phenomena, and how both approaches can supplement each other. A first part is devoted to an analysis of the role of language in the psychoanalytic process. A second section investigates earlier correlations between psychoanalysis and linguistics. The third part illustrates the combination of research on psychopathology with linguistic analysis, with reference to an empirical investigation of some concrete cases.
