Annotation

This paper presents a model for the description and analysis of multilingual written texts that simplifies meaningful analyses both within and across regions, fields, and societies by employing parameters such as spatial mobility of the inscribed object, visibility of multilingualism, and specific kind of arrangement of multilingual information. Examples are drawn from stationary multilingual written text as observed in Lira Town (Uganda) between 2000 and 2002.
