This study develops and tests a Self-Efficacy Scale for Adult Stutterers, estimating adult stutterers' confidence for starting and maintaining a fluent conversation in a wide range of speaking situations. The findings indicate that with continued development, self-efficacy scaling may be a useful tool for testing one aspect of change during treatment.
