Annotation

This paper documents the problems faced and lessons learned over the pilot year of a content-based bilingual education programme, introduced in a suburban high school in Melbourne, in which specialist subjects taught in Chinese and Vietnamese were given to students of grades 9 and 10, optionally enrolled in the Chinese–English stream or in the Vietnamese–English stream.
