Annotation

This article discusses an analysis of Dutch street language, a multilingual youth register spoken in the Netherlands. Surinamese (particularly male) students are shown to be more frequent street language users than students from other ethnic groups. The use of street language doesn't seem to be influenced by language proficiciency.
