Annotation

This paper uses the Hallidayan methodology, the Skopos Theory and Christiane Nord's functionalist perspective to analyze humour translation. It focuses on jokes in the English-Romanian language pair and explores translators' strategies for efficiently transferring both the linguistic and cultural information embedded in source and target texts.
