This article investigates language status and use in Dilling City, located in the Nuba Mountains of Sudan. The findings indicate a language shift towards Arabic across various ethnic groups, especially the Dilling, Ama and Gulfan. This shift appears to be stimulated by factors such as urbanization and education, and women take the lead.
