Scotland's strong national support for language-in-education policy has recently led, amongst others, to the following four special innovations, which are discusses further on: modern language instruction at primary school, Gaelic as medium of primary instruction, early partial modern foreign language immersion, and the development of a real and a virtual upper secondary community of students.
