Annotation

Drawing on data gathered in a teaching hospital in southern Taiwan, this paper explores how companion participation affects medical triadic interaction, in particular how it changes the discourse sequences in which patient parties supply information, and how it influences patients' full turns and priority in supplying complete first-hand information to doctors.
