Annotation

This study argues that instead of speakers' number, natural transmission and intergenerational use are better predictors of language survival or death. Data on more than 525 languages, gathered by the Amarauna Languages group of the UNESCO Center in the Basque Country, will be used in a report on the actual sociolinguistic situation of the world languages
