Drawing on Alvesson and Kärreman's (2000) influential paper on organizational discourse modes and interpretation, this paper discusses spontaneous discourse before, during, and after a meeting between representatives of the humanitarian organization 'Doctors without Borders' and representatives of local health centers in a specific area of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
