The thirteen papers in this volume deal with different aspects of linguistic motivation in grammar and in the lexicon, distinguishing between ecological, genetic, experiential and cognitive motivation. The languages studied to some extent include Dutch, Afrikaans, English, French, German, Hungarian, Croatian and Hausa.
