Annotation

The study examines the influence of vocal and body-language features on the success of interventions in conversation. The findings of this empirical study show the major importance of vocal and body-language characteristics for turn-taking and also marks that intervention success hinges more on those already speaking than on interveners. Gender appears to be less relevant than socio-cultural roles to intervention achievement.
