This large-scale corpus analysis examines the determinants of the discursive persistence of language users' earlier employed linguistic patterns and tokens, based on regression analyses of a range of (discourse-)functional, cognitive, psycholinguistic, and external factors, thus seeking to build a comprehensive model of speakers' linguistic choices.
