This book offers unique literature in a minority ethnolect – i.e. the 'Germanic' Wilamowice dialect in Southern Poland. Florian Biesik then created a literary standard for Wilamowicean in order to prove its non-German, but possibly Flemish, Dutch, Frisian or Anglo-Saxon origin. The book thus provides both the dialectal literature and the main aspects of local culture during the final stages of its attrition.
